In October 2020, the world’s first electric surfboard fin — ‘Boost Fin’ — was launched globally after starting their Kickstarter campaign that received over USD 240,000 pledges from their USD 50,000 goal in 2019. As we speak, this start-up company has already over 11,500 pre-orders on its website. But as good as this product may seem, a lot of people scoffed at the mere idea of an electric motorized fin.
